Round does not collect personal data.
Round is a local-first app. Your saved groups, friends, payment handles, and round history are stored on your device only. Nothing is sent to a server. There is no Round account, no signup, no login.
What Round accesses on your device
- Contacts (only if you allow it). When you choose “Add from Contacts” in the Friends screen, Round reads the contact you pick to populate their name and photo. Round never accesses contacts you do not pick. Round does not upload your contact book.
- Haptics + audio. Round produces haptic feedback and audio during the spin. No microphone or camera access.
- Universal links. When you tap “Send,” Round opens Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal using a public URL with the amount and recipient prefilled. Round does not see the payment outcome — it only asks you to confirm whether you sent the money when you return.
What Round never does
- Round does not process payments. The app never touches your money.
- Round does not require a Round account or password.
- Round does not include third-party analytics, ad SDKs, or trackers.
- Round does not transmit your data to any server.
Children
Round is intended for users 17 and older. Round does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Geographic availability
Round is available in the United States (except Utah and Hawaii), Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, and the Nordic countries. Round will refuse to run winner-take-all modes when the per-person risk exceeds $300.
